  • What is the "Project" that you reference in your name?

    Good question! We believe one of the greatest things we can do for our physical and mental health is to move our bodies, so our mission is to inspire people to live more of their life on foot. First and foremost, that means cleaner, kinder, better-working products to care for the very things that make movement possible - our feet! We’ll also be sponsoring marathons, triathlons, spartan races and charity walks, and publishing city walking tours and national park hiking guides, all to inspire more time outdoors.

  • Who's behind Pedestrian Project?

    Our founders are Matt and Kristen - outdoor enthusiasts who share a healthy fascination with feet. They started Pedestrian Project to inspire people to care more about (and for) theirs. They envision a world with fewer car rides and longer walks, more time in nature, and communities coming together on foot to improve the planet step by step.

  • What are your views on sustainability?

    We think it’s incredibly important. Here’s where we stand today, but we’re continuously looking for ways to do more.

    All of our topical products are recyclable - our tubes are plastic #2, our jars and sticks are plastic #5 and our cartons are 20 PAP. Wherever possible, we make our packaging with post consumer recycled content. Our tubes and sticks contain 30% PCR, jars contain 50%, and our insoles use sustainably harvested cork. In addition, we’ve partnered with the Plastic Bank, an organization that will collect two ounces of plastic for every one we put out into the world, so we’ll be net plastic negative.

  • Where is your factory?

    We develop and manufacture our topical products (balms, lotions, salts) with our lab partners in California and New Mexico. Our insoles are designed in the US and made in China.

  • Is Pedestrian Project available in stores?

    At this time, Pedestrian Project is sold exclusively through our website and on Amazon. We’ll let you know when we plan to expand!

  • How do I subscribe or unsubscribe from emails?

    You can easily subscribe to our emails by entering your email address under “Join the Project” in the footer of our website. Want to cancel your email subscription?   • Why do my feet need special products?

    With 26 bones, 33 joints, 107 ligaments and over 100,000 sweat glands, our feet are remarkably complex and unlike any other part of our anatomy. Our topical products were designed with our feet’s unique and challenging physiology in mind. They are more hydrating, deeply penetrating, longer lasting, and more healing than products typically made for the body or face. 

  • Can I use your products on other parts of my body?

    Yes! Our products are safe for any part of the body that needs more therapeutic care. Our Walker’s cream and Cracked Heel Repair are great for the legs and hands, which tend to lose moisture more rapidly. Our Relief Balm is a cult favorite for knees, hips, elbows and shoulders, and our Foot Soak is healing for the entire body.

  • Should I wear socks after applying your products?

    Our formulations were designed to absorb quickly into the skin, but covering your feet after application is a great way to speed penetration and prevent moisture wicking, especially in dry climates.

  • What is your ingredient philosophy?

    All of our products are 100% Vegan and Cruelty free, made without Parabens, Phthalates, PEG, Dyes, GMO, Silicones, Petrolatum and Synthetic Fragrances, as well as thousands of other chemicals we wouldn’t want on our bodies or yours.

  • Can you tell me more about your fragrance?

    Our fragrance is 100% natural and features a proprietary blend of plant and herbal oils, known for their healing properties, including Lemon Peel, Bergamot, Juniper and Ginger, among others.

  • How are your products tested?

    Our products undergo stability testing, to ensure that the formulations are stable, even in extreme conditions. We conduct clinical allergen tests to assess the likelihood of a skin reaction, and antimicrobial testing to confirm that the product will be safe in use.

  • How can I check my order status?

    You can check your order details/status by logging into your Pedestrian Project account. Click on the date your order was placed to see your order summary. Your order's status can be viewed by clicking the tracking link, located at the top of your order summary. You can also search for an email confirmation in your email inbox with the subject line ‘Your order has shipped’.

  • Once I place my order, can I change or cancel it?

    If you have made an error or need to make a change, please contact us as soon as possible at hello@pedestrianproject.

  • What if the product I want is out of stock?

    If a product goes out of stock, rest assured we’re rushing to secure replenishments! Just add your name to the waitlist and we’ll notify you as soon as it comes in. Subscribing to our emails is the best way to get first access to new products and promotions.

  • Do you offer any discounts or promo codes?

    Occasionally we do run promotions. Check the banner at the top of our website and definitely sign up for our emails - they are the best way to stay in the know on discounts, promotions, new products and news. Also, our bundles and gift sets are a great way to receive multiple products at a value!

  • What forms of payment do you accept?

    We currently accept Visa, Mastercard, Discover, American Express, Paypal, Apple Pay - and Visa and American Express-branded pre-paid gift cards.

  • Where do you ship?

    At this time, we only ship within the United States, including Hawaii and Alaska. We are excited to be available internationally in the near future.

  • What shipping options do you offer and what do they cost?

    We offer free FedEx ground shipping on all orders over $35. For orders under $35, we charge a nominal shipping fee based on the size of the product and the delivery location.

  • Why haven't I received my package?

    Once an order has shipped, you will receive a confirmation email with tracking information. If you have not received a shipping confirmation email within a few days of placing your order, please check your “spam” folder. If you believe your package is missing, contact us at hello@pedestrianproject.com and we will work with FedEx to trace it. This process takes approximately 2-3 business days.

  • What if my package arrives damaged?

    If the contents of your package were damaged during transit, save the box and merchandise and notify us immediately at hello@pedestrianproject.com. We will arrange for FedEx to pick up and inspect the damaged package and the damaged items will be replaced.

  • What is your return policy?

    We want you to love your  purchase, so if you are not totally satisfied, please send an email to hello@pedestrianproject.com within 30 days of receiving the product, and we will process a refund for the full amount of your purchase, minus shipping fees which are non-refundable.

  • Are you hiring?
